SUPER BOWL WEEKEND 2024 WITH CRESTRON HOME

Super Bowl 2024 weekend is finally here........

and the first out-of-town guests who arrive Friday evening at your estate high above Huntsville, Alabama, in The Ledges on Huntsville Mountain are greeted with an impressive light show of red, gold, and white (team colors for both the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers) expertly woven into trees and bushes on either side of the drive. As your family members exit their Chevy Suburban, they are amazed that the façade of your home is painted with light in the same colors as the landscaping, with glowing golden step lights and drop lights by AiSPIRE guiding them onto your portico. As they approach the door, the 2N video doorbell alerts you to their presence through your Crestron Home touch panels.  Within seconds, you appear to your guests on the screen of the doorbell and invite them into your home.

Amazed by the technology, they excitedly enter and are immediately fascinated by what they see and hear. Gazing up, they see a Synergy LED chandelier dropped from a breathtaking starfield ceiling by KINETICS.   Set to colors of red and white, this unique chandelier complements sleek crystal wall sconces by AiSPIRE that sparkle within and throw shafts of gleaming golden light up and down the walls. Immediately ahead of them on the far wall, an 85” Samsung The Frame TV displays a slideshow of highlights from Super Bowl competitions throughout the years, while tunes from your favorite sports playlist emanate from perfectly-placed architectural speakers from the Director Collection by Origin Acoustics.  

Since the hour is late, you escort your guests to the family suite of bedrooms that you have reserved for them and quickly show them how to use just one touch on the Crestron Home touchscreens in each bedroom to watch TV, turn the lights on and off, open and close the shades, and adjust the thermostat.

SATURDAY ACTIVITIES

You have had to change your plans to have brunch on the covered patio Saturday morning due to expected heavy rainfall that day.  No sweat – a change of plans is no problem when you have Crestron Home to assist you.  Since you like to be prepared for unexpected events, you have a contingency plan and have set up a Quick Action for each scenario.

Just before 9 AM, you initiate the “Super Bowl Indoor Brunch” scenario with just one tap of an icon on the Crestron touch panel in the Breakfast Room.  Immediately, the overhead tunable LED lighting and the shades on the sliding glass doors synchronize to provide the perfect mood to gently awaken your guests, as the sounds of relaxing breakfast jazz tickle their ears. Simultaneously, the stained-glass partition leading into the dining room silently glides open to provide more room for the brunch, and the Samsung The Frame TV showcases a range of modern art.  

Following a hearty meal of bacon, eggs, and pancakes, your guests linger for several hours before spreading throughout your home to enjoy their favorite activities.  The younger kids head to the Kids’ Activity Room while a group of teenagers makes their way to the indoor basketball court. Still others find themselves in your new Media Lounge, which features theater-quality sound and video recently installed by AV Enthusiast. Your guests enjoy a spirited afternoon of billiards coupled with hours of immersive gaming, courtesy of Dolby Atmos 11.4 surround sound blasting from Bowers and Wilkins speakers and realistic on-screen action provided by a state-of-the-art Domino DTVs Ultra-Short-Throw SIM2 projector paired with a 120” ALR screen from Screen Innovations.

Meanwhile, a group of young mothers with infants retreats to the nursery for a more peaceful environment to rock their children to sleep while enjoying friendly conversation.  One touch on the Crestron wall panel allows them to quickly choose between simply listening to lilting lullabies or watching trending YouTube videos on the 43” Sony X85K LED TV that automatically moves out from the wall for a perfect viewing angle in the limited space.  

In mid-afternoon, a group of seniors settles comfortably into the windowed Great Room with a couple of bottles of wine and a tray of cheese and truffles to enjoy a soggy but panoramic view of the City of Huntsville below.  As the sun progresses through the sky towards evening, the tunable LED lighting and motorized shades are automatically adjusted by Crestron Home to maintain an optimum level of light in the room.  By the time it gets dark, the conversation winds down and they decide to indulge in a showing of Celtic Woman.  With one touch on the tabletop Crestron touchscreen, the soothing background music that they have enjoyed all afternoon is ducked and within seconds they are immersed in spirited notes of “The Hills of Ireland” emanating from Bowers and Wilkins Flexible Series architectural speakers as Máiréad Nesbitt prances effortlessly across the screen of the 65” Sony Bravia XR TV above the fireplace.

GAME DAY

You awaken on Sunday morning to another day of drizzle and fog on Huntsville Mountain.  But you are blessed with a Smart Home for all to enjoy, and Crestron Home to synchronize the automation perfectly, like a talented maestro conducting a symphony orchestra with the greatest of ease.

Your overnight guests and those who arrive later in the day enjoy an environment of whole-home audio and video, with the latest and greatest models of Sony 4K TVs strategically placed throughout the residence for maximum access to pre-game programming in the afternoon.

After drinks and Hors d’Oeuvres in the Great Room at 4 PM, all attendees drift off to their preferred location for watching Super Bowl 58, which is being broadcast from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.  Kickoff time is 5:30 PM, and everyone wants to claim a good seat, whether it be in the stately Home Theater in the northeast corner of your home, or in the Media Lounge, the Sports Bar, or the Main Living Room.  No matter where your guests settle in, they’ll experience the game in the best audio and video formats available, and all expertly coordinated by Crestron Home.
